The Health & Healing Network (H+H), a stock corporation, was created by a group of professionals with extensive backgrounds in both television and medicine, to address the major market for nationally distributed programming focusing on integrative medicine and healthy lifestyles.
H+H is creating a multi-platform service, providing integrative medicine/holistic health programming, as well as access to related products and services covering a wide spectrum of medical areas. A primary platform for delivering H+H is video-on-demand (VOD) distribution available over cable television. H+H uses broadcast television via selected cable and public television channels, which provide penetration into major markets in the U.S.
Another key platform is streaming video via broadband distribution on the Internet. The H+H web site will provide reference information, follow-up information where appropriate, links to additional sources of information, practitioner databases and product providers.
H+H has been created to fill the unmet programming need of individuals to obtain various types of integrative / alternative medical knowledge, treatments, therapies and products.
H+H will offer programming (using a variety of formats and program lengths) in the primary blocks, or 'baskets', of:
