CHAPTER 12 - Yoga & Tai Chi

12 of 23 Yoga is one of my favorites. Yoga is not necessarily a religious practice. Don't have to be flexible. Can do yoga from many different fitness levels. Yoga postures are preparation for breath-work. Then Meditation. Then spiritual reflection. A chance to be with oneself in quiet. When starting, use gentle forms of yoga. Work one on one with instructor. Not a competitive sport! Tai Chi - moving meditation. Practiced in communities across Asia, often early in the morning. Used to prevent falls, lower blood pressure, manage stress. Flowing movement tied with breath and meditation.
