23 of 23 Meditation has roots in all cultures. This is an introduction to mindfulness meditation. Find comfortable position. Become aware of body, different sensations; invite it to get rid of tension. Settle into the present moment. Notice where you are experiencing your breath. Let emotions and thoughts go by, focusing on in and out breath. Use breath to come back to present moment. Simply note where your mind is going, then gently bring your awareness back to your breath. Bring your mind back 100 times. Using the breath as a place to rest your mind, where your mind and body can come together. Slowly open eyes and come back to room, experiencing whatever stillness might be present. Knowing you've done a good thing to pause, and be with yourself.
